AN EUROPEAN CONSORTIUM ON NEW NANO-TECHNOLOGIES FOR SUBCONDRAL REGENERATION
On October 22-23, 2018, at the Applied Translational Research Center (ATR), it has been held the kick-off meeting of the NANO-SCORES. The two days were coordinated by Dr. Giuseppe Filardo, supported by Dr. Alice Roffi and Ing. Stefano Cuomo. The works were opened by IOR scientific director, Prof. Maria Paola Landini, who described the research activity carried out at the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute, as well as the new lines of future development. The event involved experts from universities, research centers and companies from different European countries – Italy, The Netherlands, Ireland, Latvia and France – working in the field of regenerative medicine of musculoskeletal tissues. In the next 3 years the project partners will work in synergy to improve the regenerative technologies useful for the treatment of joint pathologies, in particular inherent to the osteochondral defects of the knee.
